Eric brings an engineer’s precision and problem-solving mindset to his role as the Founder, CEO, and Managing Partner of Heinz Ventures. Starting his career as an engineer at Medtronic Sofamor Danek, Eric developed a rigorous approach to assessing business risks and opportunities—one that he continues to apply in both venture investing and leadership today.

Eric’s technical expertise spans twelve functional specialties, and he has a proven track record leading teams that developed regulated medical products generating over $1 billion in annual revenue. He has also led mergers and acquisitions worth more than $250 million, consistently driving growth and innovation. In his most recent executive role as VP of Market and Corporate Development at Titan Medical, Eric led a strategic alternatives process during a challenging time in the company's life.

Heinz Ventures reflects Eric’s deep commitment to supporting early-stage medtech companies that bring life-changing solutions to market. His industry leadership extends to mentoring through Health Wildcatters, serving as a judge for Medtech Innovator, and advising prominent institutions like the Carle Illinois College of Medicine and the University of Chicago Polsky Center for Innovation.
